Absolutely not. The "fair tax" is a misnomer that ends up being a de facto regressive tax upon those who have the least amount of disposable income.
Those with the least income spend the greater portion of said income on necessities. Those with the greater income spend the lesser portion on necessities. For those who have to spend the greater portion on necessities, the "fair" tax hurts far more.
And what do you think should be a fair tax.We pay about 35% and I think that is too high.We work very hard for our money.But I do believe that there should be an across the board tax.Where everyone pays some.
