Acura is to Honda as Lexus is to Toyota. It's basically a luxury model Honda so they're very reliable cars if they're maintained properly. Look for a model that has 12K a year average so a 6 year old car should have 72K miles but for an Acura 15K a year is fine too.
there are no 2004 TL type s, they ran in 02-03, and then returned in 07-08, but they are all the same, i have an 01 CL type S which is the same thing and i just hit 120k and never had a problem, and Ive seen many go up to 200K miles. as the other person stated its pretty much a more upscale Honda accord so you can rest assured they are very reliable. also for the 04 year it was the A-Spec TL, which is a more sporty version but they are hard to find, trust me i tried lol.
With that compression (10.5:1) I would give it around 150k with all scheduled maintenance. Probably will get more but talking to some honda/acura technicians they said most Honda v6s won't start to have problems until that mark. Even then the bulk of the problems are head related not bottom end...not a bad trade off.
