  • I've been on Depo since April 2008 and I have never gotten a period on it. LMP was March 2008.

Depo will gradually make her periods disappear. If you both are truely concerned, have her take a pregnancy test.

  • The missed period could be from the shot, her body may still be changing from the shot...or there is always a chance that she is pregnant. The shot or pill is only 95-98% effective, and because you did not use a condom this increases the chance. The pull out method does not work because of pre ejaculation.

If she does not get her period in the next couple of days, it would not hurt to take a test. If it comes out negative, she must speak to her doctor before getting her next shot just to make sure that everything is ok.

  • I was on depo for 6 years. When I first started the shots I bled for about 4 months straight, then I had no more periods for years after that, until I quit getting the shots.

As long as she got her next shot when it was due, she should be ok. You'll only at risk for pregnancy when you miss the shot or are late.

  • I was on the shot for a little over 2 years, during that time I experienced very irregular periods. I would go 2-3 months without one at all or I would get 2 in a month.

  • Did she just start taking depo? If so, that could be the cause. I was on depo for years & never got a period. I have know people who have gotten pregnant while on it. Is she late yet? If so, take a test. Good Luck!

  • A lot of women experience late periods on the depo-provera injection.

  • The shot should remove her period entirely. That's why people do it. Be careful though...that shot made me gain weight, get really depressed and have tummy aches every night. If she doesn't feel right, tell her to get off of it now. I think it's hard core!

  • while you're experiencing heavy bleeding or have experienced it and now that's slowing down you're able to desire to be certain an ob/gyn asap. It seems such as you're already interior the skill of miscarrying the toddler. Your close by wellness branch or loose hospital provides you with ob/gyn amenities in case you are able to't have the money for pay. attempt going to social amenities to recieve medicaid and enable them to assist with the fees. It by no skill hurts to purpose and why unfavorable aspects your wellness and your toddler's only for no longer having coverage.

  • depo just sucks in general. if she takes it monthly as recommended, she will be protected. but that shot messes up cycles for sure.
