I found a junk removal car that will come to pick up a car that I don't use anymore, my question is when I give them the title do I have to sign it? What about the plate?
Some states require the tags to stay with the vehicle, some require them to be surrendered to the state, and some allow you to do whatever you want with them (keep them, throw them out, cover the side of a trailer with them). So really, it depends on what your state requires.
As for the title, of course you have to sign it. Why wouldn't you?

sign the title,..............keep the plates, they are yours, ... you may want to transfer them to a different car

Yes, you will have to sign off on the title, if they're personal plates keep them, other wise they stay with the car in most states..
