How do i report a scam to Microsoft by email?
I cannot find an email address anywhere on the microsoft website. I want to report a possible scam. I keep recieving emails advising they are from microsoft & i have won a sweepstake of £97,000 and it also asked for all my personal details including bank details, obviously i have not replied to this but id like to report it. The email also gives 2 email addresses to send the details to & one of them is a yahoo address.

Well i went to microsoft's home page and i could not find where you could send your problems in by e-mail but i did find where you can contact them

There's no point reporting the scam to Microsoft. If you want to report it at all, report to their e-mail providers that their services are being used to perpetuate a scam.
For Yahoo, forward the message (with full headers showing) to [email protected]. At the beginning of the note, explain that the scam message is referring to a Yahoo address.
For the other e-mail address, you'll have to do some digging to find out what adress the provider uses for abuse reports. But when you find one, send it a message just like the one to Yahoo.
Regarding both addresses, probably the most you'll ever hear from the provider is that they took appropriate action against the offending account(s) and that they aren't able to disclose any specifics to a third party. But at least you'll know you complicated the scammers' day a little!
It's really worthless to report this scam. There are so many of them and very hard to track. You can report to the FBI if you really want to.

Print out every one of these you receive and hand carry them to the 'state' department or commission on identity theft. Tell them you will testify if necessary to stop these people from sending this ILLEGAL AND FRAUDULENT email ... everyone gets them, and most (including me) just send it to the 'spam' section so eventually you'll stop getting them ... I know they are 'annoying' but the companies can't 'stop' them ... it takes a legal court case to do that, so take the 'hard copies' to the state department or commission on identity theft.
Go to their website and click on report phishing scams.
I would also report this with your ISP so that future e-mails like this one can be blocked from not only you but others.
