Most people are just unaware of how to do a more natural approach to life. Conventional docs really keep people in the dark about how to do it and will just shove meds at you at the drop of a hat. I'm very holistic with my family...I even got my hubby to see a holistic MD (yes, they are out there!!) regarding his high BP. My friends and my hubby all have me nicknamed as the 'witch doctor', and at first they all thought I was nuts but after a while they learned. I get calls all the time from them asking what to do for this or that. I'm also a massage therapist so that definitely lends to my natural lifestyle. I work for a chiropractor and I work on loads of prenatals with massage therapy and they also get adjusted. I got massaged and adjusted throughout both my pregnancies and also added Maya Abdominal Massage to my prenatal routine with baby #2. It really helped toward a VERY easy labor. I've since become a practitioner of it. Besides doesn't being holistic lend to the whole green movement everyone keeps pushing for? Good for you for getting back to your roots and being green!! Both my kids go see the chiropractor as well. My son is almost 5 and he's been getting adjusted since he was 2.5wks old, and my daughter who is almost 1 has been getting adjusted since she was 1.5wks. It totally helps with their development and neither one has yet to be truely ill other then the occassional minor sniffles!
I would say using Roper, Logan and Tierney's - I think! it's a long time ago since I practised as a nurse! 12 Activities of Daily Living Assessment approach. It's an all rounder that seems to cover ecery aspect both physically and psychologically.
It usually costs a lot more money to the patient with no gaurantees of cure. Usually it's the last attempt to find help in a terminal situation and the patient exhausts their money reserves as well as any dignity. Sorry just my personal observations that's all.
Look at everything else besides the current symptom(s). Other ailments and imbalances, eating, sleeping, stress, lifestyle, unhealthy habits, etc. of the patient. Look at the patient as a whole entity.

Louise Hay did it by showing that a holistic treatment can cure people of cancer by showing the imbalances in the system and i firmly believe in it!
thats a good question, but i dont think you should look for the answer on yahoo, ask yourself that question good luck!
