Why does my 2003 Honda Civic manual trans clutch squeak?

I have a 2003 Honda Civic EX Cp with a manual transmission and my clutch has been squeaking for the pass month. It doesn't start until i've been driving for about 5 minutes. After that, whenever I depress the clutch it squeaks. I'm just wondering what I need done to it. I haven't have time to take it in to have it checked out.

Update:

It doesn't start right away. Just about 5 minutes after I've started drive. The squeak comes from the under the hood.

  • Spray the pivot pin on the pedal arm with wd-40 or something.

  • There's a good chance that the squeak your referring to is the throw-out bearing inside the transmission. A lot of times it will begin to get noisy due to the fact that overtime it loses it's lubrication and as the bearing gets dry it makes noise. See if the squeak occurs when you depress the clutch, and if it goes away when you release the clutch I can guarantee you that's the noise.Good luck

  • its just the top of the pedal like the first guy said spray it with wd-40

  • all the indicators tell me that the grasp is purely wiped out. the astonishing one is on the element of a try that i take advantage of. engine working at idle, e brake on, permit the grasp bypass with the trans in any equipment. if it stalls grasp is okay, if not, very undesirable.
