Fundamental Frequency Physics Problem?
A piccolo and a flute can be approximated as cylindrical tubes with both ends open. The lowest fundamental frequency produced by one kind of piccolo is 597.3 Hz, while that produced by a type of flute is 277.6 Hz. What is the ratio of the length of the piccolo to that of the flute?

Length = Speed of Sound * Frequency
Speed of Sound in dry are = (aprox) 350m/s
Is it not (350m/s * 277.6) / ( 350m/s * 597.3 Hz ).
Im not 100% sure
The inverse of the ratio of the tube lengths.
277.6 / 597.3 = 0,46. If the flute is 1ft long, the piccolo is 0.46ft
