2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6 problem?

I purchased the new 2013 EX-L V6 non Navi two months back. Right from the beginning I can feel a faint vibration ( can feel it through the gas pedal) when you are cruising. It comes and goes away when you slightly press the gas pedal.

1) it doesn't happen when you haven't reached engine temperature. The car has to warm up a little.

2) it gets triggered after you cross around 25mph speed.

3) it comes on when you very slightly press the gas pedal and keep it depressed at that level. Then when you press a little more it goes away.

4) I did see that the tachometer moves a little when it goes away. Looks like transmission related but i may be wrong.

When you use the ECON, the vibration becomes slightly emphasized.

I went to honda service no results, they diagnosed the car and drove it for a few minutes and told me that car works as it designed...........

  • In cases like yours, you will have to leave it there overnight so that they can run a full check on the vehicle when its cold - at start up!!

If you still have issues you can do several things!!

    1. You can go to a different Honda Dealership!!

    2. You can call Honda Customer Service and explain what's going on and request that a area manager that services your town come in to check this out for you!!

  • 2013 Honda Accord V6 Problems

  • I experience this problem in my 2013 Honda Accord Touring edition. It has been reported by other 2013 Accord owners and is associated with the engine variable cylinder management.

    See this forum:

There appears to be no fix for the vibration when the engine is cruising on 3 cylinders, but hopefully Honda will eventually address it. It may not be damaging but as other owners have reported: it is annoying and affects performance by making throttle response sluggish at slower speeds.

  • did you figure out what the problem was?
