Nvidia Graphics Card SPDIF Issue?

My computer is the HP Workstation xw6200.

A friend of mine sent me his graphics card, as he no longer needed it. When I received it, I noticed it had a wire on it that I hadn't seen before. Through a bit of research, I determined that the wire was a SPDIF connector. The video card is an Nvidia Geforce GTS 240 1GB PCIE Dual DVI Video Card.

My problem is that I can not find a place to plug the SPDIF connector in on my motherboard. Perhaps, my mobo doesn't support this feature? Basically, what I need to know is...
Is there a SPDIF connector on my mobo?
Should the video card work without the SPDIF being connected, but not have sound?
Is there a different SPDIF cable that will work for my mobo? (perhaps with a different shaped "head/connector")
As of now the video card seems to do absolutely nothing without the SPDIF being connected. Any advice, solutions, or helpful response is welcomed and appreciated.

One (1) TV-out (S-video)
Make sure you connect your LCD/Monitor to any of the DVI connectors, or else you wont have Any display.
