Girls perspective please?

Okay so me and this girl i met in college last semester have grown pretty close, and during that semester we ended up texting each other 24/7. About after a month i told her how i felt about her, and she told me how she feels really close to me after such a short period of time but wasnt ready to get into relationship yet. So then the summer hit and we went back home and live about 6 hours away from each other. So we continued talking all day everyday and about a month later i brought it up again that i thought it was unusual that we still talk so much because obviously she knows how i feel and that my efforts are to start a relationship with her, i wasnt being pushy i was just trying to tell her that its hard for me to talk to her constantly without affirmation that she feels the same way i do. So i appologized if i came off as being pushy and we moved on from that. So its about 4 1/2 months in and the texting is stil all day everyday. So my question would be, what are the chances that she feels the same and is continuing to talk to me so much bc she does feel the same but might just want to wait and keep me around for when she is ready? Im just perplexed cause she is awful at being definitive haha and i just wanted a girls insight into the matter, Thank You!

  • Well I'm wondering is all you are doing is texting? Are you not actually speaking to one another??? That's an awful lot of texting. I mean I'm a grown woman and I would think speaking would be more efficient but that's beside the point.

She obviously likes you or else she wouldn't bother with all of that.

I would not bank on anyone waiting around...ever. That usually doesn't end up favorably. I guess if you don't mind keeping it at the texting level then by all means keep it up. But when I got back to school with her, I'd start asking her out. I wouldn't be doing all that texting. In fact life is too short. I would probably stop so much texting now. I'm sorry, I can't get beyond that, but I'm not a mind reader and I don't know what she is thinking but if it's this much texting, you guys are practically in a relationship already. She may think that when she tells you she's not ready for a relationship that you are talking about sex.

People do have to set boundaries about things. We all have them. They may not be spoken but they are there. So tell her you want to date her or something.

    Good luck.

  • Nancy, well, the thing is im currently confined to a bed with a broken leg, im not normaly a heavy texter, and she is so that kind of evens out. but my plan is when we get back to school to ask her out to do thinks with just her and me. i would prefer not to text so much, but im head over heels for her and dont want her to become uninterested.

  • When the girl says that she is not ready for a romantic relationship believe her. Don't push your current relationship as this may drive her away. Keep things the way they are. She may have decided that it is more important to keep the friendship than it is to become lovers. She may very well see you as a friend and nothing more. On the other hand some friendships do blossom into love.

The question you have to ask yourself is. "How important is she in your life"? Would you rather keep her as a friend than not have her around at all?

  • I would either say she sees you as a very close friend or fancies you. I would arrange a nice day out shopping or a picnic or something and treat her, then you can talk things through after your day together! Hope this helps

  • she likes your personality and the fact that you are always there to listen to her and expect nothing in return. either A. she has her eye on someone else and is hoping he will come around to her but if not has you to fall back on or B she is waiting to see if anyone better shows up, and if not will settle and go with you or C she just really likes the attention but is not physically attracted to you so she wont want anything more.
