How far of a distance can a CO alarm detect?
For example, if the detector is in the living room can it "smell' possible CO in the kitchen, etc?
Update:I have done this already and does not indicate how far it can detect it.

Either read the instructions on the box, or look up the model number online. They should indicate the distance they are effective.
