How do I connect my Xbox 360 to a wireless network?

I bought the wireless adapter, but I don't know how I setup the adapter for my wireless network.

Update:

It doesn't even come up with anything so I can do that. It doesn't come up with a network screen where I can see what networks there are.

    connect it then go to test connection when it pops up a screen will pop up and say wireless or wired

    you have to buy a wireless adapter i bought i one my self so you have to hook it up behind the xbox 360 in oreder for it to work
