Humming noise coming from car?

About a month ago I noticed that my car (06 Malibu) hadn't been running as well as it normally does. When it reaches a speed of about 35 mph or more it makes this low humming noise that I can really only hear when the windows are up and the music is off. It's a constant noice and slows down when I slow down. My car has been pulling a bit to the right as well. The sound almost sounds like it's coming from the engine, but again I'm a girl so I'm not sure :) Also more recently I've noticed a vibration feel from the gas pedal when accelerating. I'm not sure if this is all related to tires and needing an alignment or maybe something worse. Any help would be appreciated!

  • I would recommend contacting your local dealer for more specific information. They should be able to provide you with a diagnosis and point you in the right direction. I can also locate a dealership in your area with your zip code or look into this further with your VIN. Please feel free to keep me posted via email if you would like. Thank you.

  • It sounds like it must be some thing loose with the exhaust device. possibly the exhaust device is rubbing up against some thing that it won't. the best element could be to take the vehicle to a mechanic and function them placed it on the carry. they might try this with the vehicle working and that they could be waiting to isolate the noise. you besides could be below the vehicle whilst it truly is on the carry so which you would be able to pay attention it additionally and so as that the mechanic would not attempt to sell you some thing you do no longer choose.

  • sounds like you have a bad wheel bearing. it will humm and shake ..
