  • Not easily converted to 4x4. Buy one.

  • Aside from marlincrawler.com (great company btw) allprooffroad.com also does toyota only suspension and have SAS(solid axle swaps) for toyotas 95 and up. They have all the parts, but you will need tranny, axle, and driveshaft. Solid axle from 83-85 toyota truck/4runner might fit, but consult pro for details.

I would get a new truck, an IFS(independant front suspension) 4x4 easier to SAS than 2wd to 4x4. Also cheaper and easier.

Tap recycling has used toyota parts fyi

  • The easiest way is to do a front axle conversion...www.marlin crawler.com can help you with this...You will need a different tranny and transfer case...Since you have the four banger it will be hard for it to turn bigger tires...You,ll have to do a gear swap also.....You are looking at about 5000.00 to do the conversion...It would be easier to buy a rig already done up...With todays economy you can get a trail rig ready to wheel for less than 5000.00...Me i,d just buy another truck...Check out ebay and craigs list for trucks...Try craigs list in northern calif...We have alot of trail ready mini trucks for sale here...

  • you will need a differential and new drive shafts. you will also need to rebuild the front end. Prolly not worth your $ for a vehicle that old...
