nn capisco in queste frasi se vada meglio mettere since o for
1)He hasn't been in jail _____ more than three years.
2)have been working on this project ____ five months already.
3)I haven't seen him ___ a long time ago.

for si usa con quantità di tempo i haven't seen him for 10 years (non lo vedo da 10 anni)

for_per quanto tempo dura l'azione

since si usa per indicare "Da" una data precisa e for per un periodo lungo e generico....almeno mi sembra..!
