How do I continue this algebra II problem?
This is the work i've showed on my paper so far..
1-8
m= ___ = -7/8
0-8
y + (+8) = -7/8 [x + (+8)]
y+8 = -7/8x + ?
This is where I get stuck
Update:I made a mistake when typing. I meant
m = 1-8
___ = -7/8
0 - (-8)

You have a mistake....the slope would be positive 7/8, because its -7/-8
Anyway.....multiplying 7/8 by 8......the 8's cancel and it would be 7.

y + 8 = (-7/8x - 7) Why? -7/8 times 8 = -7/8 * 8 the 8s cancel, leaving you w/ -7
y = -7/8x -7 -8
y = -7/8x - 15
and if it is positive:
y + 8 = 7/8x + 7 ----------> 7/8x + 7 - 8
y = 7/8x -1
y+8=-7/8x -7
