Does Publix require a Publix card?
We are going to do a little grocery shopping after we check into our hotel at Disney. Publix is closer, but we don't have a Publix card (if they have one) so we are thinking we will go to Wal-Mart. Does Publix have a card that has to be used in order to get sales/discounted prices?

I have shopped at Publix several times during vacations in Florida and never seen anything about any card there. I usually like to stick to Wal-Mart though just because they tend to have lower prices (although Publix sweet tea is THE BEST).

We do the exact same thing before we arrive at Disney World.
The taxi drops us off for 30mins of shopping time in Publix.
Publix is actually quite a nice grocery store with a
great variety of food selections. One of the best things we did when we went there, was buy a pack of water bottles. ( Disney does NOT sell those).
Great things to buy their include,
penut butter, bagels, wine and beer, gum ( which disney also does not sell). We also purchased bananas and potatoe chips and other snackables that we could have at Disney.
Disney tends to be quite pricey so making a stop at the Publix was one of the best things that we did for our family vacation!
As for the Publix card- I've never heard of it. Either way, the store has ideal prices on groceries and they won't deny you access to the store with out one of these " discount cards"

There is no such thing as a Publix Card
Publix doesn't currently even have a "card" -- so go on in and shop! :-)
It's not required; anyone can walk in and shop there. But it is a lot cheaper. Sometimes the cashiers will just have random spare ones they'll use for you. Anyway, you can just pick one up at the register and use it. You don't really have to sign up or anything.
If it's prices you're worried about, go the extra few miles to Walmart. It's a lot cheaper.
yes you do get discounts from using a publix card but they wont decline service to you if you dont have one.
