Maths problem ??????
3 blokes live together in a flat and want to buy a TV. One sees one in a shop for £30 and goes home to tell the other 2 about it. They agree to buy it later and all put a £10 note into a pot. Just then a lad from downstairs asks if they want anything in town as he's going over so they tell him about the telly and give him the 3 £10 notes. When the lad gets there the TV has been reduced to £25. He pays the shopkeeper the £30 and gets 5 £1 coins back. Not being able to split 5 £1 coins 3 ways he decides to keep 2 of them for himself for going and give 1 £1 coin to each bloke. He delivers the TV and gives them all £1 back. So................. each of the 3 blokes has now payed £9 for a TV, 3 x £9 is £27, the lad kept £2 for going. £27 and £2 is only £29 ............... Where did the other pound go?????

LOL. Oh, I love it. My father used to tell this puzzle to everyone and no one I know ever could answer it. I know I never could! If there is an answer, please let me know. I will go to his gravestone and tell him the answer!!! Thanks for the memory.
This is not a math problem, it's the way the question being ask problem. The tv was bought for 25 pounds not 27 pounds. And the 2 pounds kept by lad is the balance deduct from 25 pounds not 27 pounds. So equation is already wrong in saying the blokes paid 9 pounds each for the tv.
the 3 blokes paid £8.33 each for the telly (there@s the £25) the 3 of em had a quid back each and the other bloke had £2 of the change.
to many words, this not a math problem that i would know, how bout 1 and 1 can only make 2,not 2 nor 3 or 8.oh please
You ask too many confusing, questions.. lol I am not wanting to think that hard.
