I strongly recommend you keep your nintendo DS, for fact that i have my own DS and the original version. It still has the best games and upcoming new games, especially mario.
It depends on your preferences. As i've gotten older, i've been playing my psp a lot more than my ds. psp has much better graphics, but also is a lot more fragile and will power off or even break when dropped from small distances. The psp has more good shooters and action games, whereas the ds has more rpg's.
Trade your DS in and they will give you $100. Then just pay $70 more and get the DSi. You can trade in at Gamestop or pretty much any video game store.

Get the new "PSP Go" it looks really cool.
Ditch the DS and its cheap graphics.
