Computer audio problems?
My computer's audio has been acting weird lately. I have a Realtek HD Audio sound card and have updated all the drivers. The problem is, the audio (especially any vocals) sounds very muffled when I have my speakers balanced. The audio becomes clearer if I shift it to either just the right or left speakers by themselves but the weird thing is it always sounds exactly the same no matter which speaker I shift it too. This is really keeping me from fully enjoying music/gaming. Please help!

Sounds like a surround sound issue.
To be completely honest. Realtek HD Audio should be called "Total crap corner cutting sound".
If I were you, I'd get my hands on a Creative Technologies Sound Blaster Audigy PCI card and slap that in your tower. (Unless you have a laptop).
They're super inexpensive and sound awesome. Plus, sound hardware external from the motherboard is always a plus.

Never use the generic drivers, always go to the manufacturers website, for the proper drivers.
