my personal experience you can get pg anytime after u are off the shot. after i was off the depo shot i got pg within 3 months
It depends on how long you have taken the shot. Many women take a year to start a regular cycle after being on depo for only a year. Some women start right away. The average is about 1-6 mos after the shot wears off. It takes 3 mos for the shot to wear off.
Most of the women i know personally who have taken depo got pregnant when they took the shot regularly.

I was on Depo twice; the first time for three years, the second time for two years... Both times, I completely stopped having periods. It takes about a year to get out of your system, so that could be why you haven't gotten your period back yet, but it's not a guarantee, so practice safe sex if you don't want to get pregnant.
I stopped birth control completely two years before I decided to have a child, they say that there shouldn't be any negative effects on the baby if you recently had any birth control; however, I wanted to clear out my system, since I had been on b.c. methods for nearly 10 years. If you are trying to get pregnant, you could already be - so get one of those at-home tests!
