Atheism isn't a cult, neither is it death. in reality, in keeping with polls completed by way of Pew study, prepared faith is what's declining. human beings could have self assurance in a god yet they do no longer settle for the tenets of prepared faith. and that i've got self assurance greater everybody is figuring out as atheist or agnostic besides. BTW, get your historic previous rapidly or end trolling. The Crusades have been a CHRISTIAN element.

as for the first question: don't cults require everyone to share the exact same view? Atheists don't believe in god but have many different views of how the universe was created etc.. plus i don't think they attend regular atheist meetings, lol, or maybe i just didn't get the memo?
If baldness is a hair color and not collecting stamps is a hobby then we're a cult. You'd think we'd have cooler uniforms like those Heaven's Gate guys though......

And no, atheism is not a cult. It doesn't meet even one of the characteristics.
I feel great about the first question. The answer, according to the Bible is yes! It is a BELIEF SYSTEM! They believe there is no God and that means it is a belief! We know one form of government that pushes it and that is Communism. According to Christ, all beliefs, except a belief in Him, are cults. This means deceiving beliefs.
