BMW 5 SERIES E39 323 1999 AUTO?
ABS /ASC lamp illuminated on dash ,no dials are working or fuel gauge, car goes into limp mode in 3rd gear only, transmission code PO700 transmission control system malfunction. have changed all 4 abs sensors , still no luck ,checked all fuses ,they ok. battery fine , transmission oil & filter changed, still nothing happening ,unable to figure out what next to change, has any-one had same problem. can anyone please help me. unable to drive car in 3rd gear only..the dash tends to shut down and warning lights pop up. cheers.

Needs to go to a garage that knows what they're doing, there's obviously quite a few issues with it that need a proper diagnostic test.
Get the codes read at a garage, so much it could be as the stability control relies on mane sensors. Without the codes for the error you will only find it by blind luck.
BMW won't do it in view that they had ought to halt production and retool. yet we could say they did, they could charge you in the tens of million selection just to retool the production unit. greater useful theory, detect a respectable E39 strip it right down to no longer something, and order all new aspects for it. to rebuild it with all new aspects, probable a hundred and fifty-200k
