500-700 calories a day!!?

So im 14, 5'7, and about 125 -130.Im in PE so i work out alot, 2 laps forward, running one backwards warm up. Then weight room a few times a week, running, stairs along with other things.

I have always wanted to lose a few pounds, but could never stick to a ''diet''.

For 3 days in a row I was supper busy, and did eat much. I noticed my stomach was alot flatter. So I decided if after 3 days of not really trying to ''diet'; and seeing results, it would be worth it to eat right and work out. I started to research calories in all types of food, joined a tracker website ect.

Now im obsessed with what I eat, for example

Yesterday I ate a few nuts ( like 7) when I got up.

About 2 i ate 2 pepper popper things ( frozen food) there 90 calories each

for a snack I ate a few blackberries ( like 10)

and I scraped out the inside half a baked potato and added a little chesses that’s dinner

Its been like this for about a week

Im simply not hungry any more, its very strange, I just keep thinking about the calories in everything and how I can go by without it. The only time I eat is when my I get light headed or on school days I will eat like half a banana so I have some energy for Athletics, then half a sandwich at lunch, and some soap. ( the health kind thats like 160 for a full can and I eat half the can)

Will I lose weight like this???

How can I fit in more calories, I know you thinking.. its simple eat more. But its really hard for me, after only a week and I don’t want it to get worse! Help please

  • No you will not lose weight like this. And what you are doing to your body is extremely unhealthy. Counting calories is not a bad thing. But what you are eating is unhealthy. It is suggested that you eat 5 small meals a day and exercise for at least 30 minutes to lose weight. Losing weight is about keeping your metabolism active. If you eat a lot, but not a big amount your metabolism realizes it needs to be working and burns calories. If you don't eat much your body thinks that it is starving and so it holds on to whatever fat reserves that it has. I would suggest taking in around 1200 calories a day. Having breakfast lunch and dinner and 2 100 calorie snacks in between. This means your meals need to be around 350 calories each. Usually having an amount of protein the size of your first, and two vegetable servings the size of your fist. Planning out your meals and snacks one day a week is really the best way that I have found to stick to a healthy diet and keep off unwanted weight.

  • No, you will not, and if you do its not healthy. I used to be so worried about what i ate also!! You need to be eating your carbohydrates and protein and fruits and vegetables. If you want to lose weight your going to have to eat small meals a day. This is what i did and i lost weight fast!

    First off i drink a ton of water!! Always drink water or juice, and milk. Limit sodas, and sugary drinks.

    For breakfast. Eat some eggs and a bagel, with some milk. Then start drinking your water all through the day. About 3 hours later have a banana and a protein bar or shake. Then at lunch time eat something with carbs, protein and vegetables. About 2-3 hours later a fruit of some sort is good. Then eat dinner with your family. Always drink your water. And you should be good to go. And after you workout try to take in some protein, this will allow your body to recover and burn some fat. Just keep adding from there. Some more stuff to eat through the day. And keep working out!
