How do I unbaptized my self " I am a Atheist"?

How do I un-baptized my self from the catholic faith? Do I just renounced my self saying I do not believe in the Christian belief? Saying I do not believe in Jesus Christ? I do not believe in Virgin Mary? I do not believe in the bible? Because I know all of it is made up and just one giant lie. or do I find red ruby slippers and click my heels 3 times and close my eyes and say there is no religion

  • If you don't believe in it, then it doesn't matter, and baptism doesn't really exist, or at least, it doesn't do anything.

Interesting that you "know" it's all made up. Did you know that atheists only make up 2.3% of the world? About 1 in 50 (2006 figures). How 1 in 50 could "know" something the opposite to the other 49 I'm not quite sure....

  • Well... from a Catholic theological view - you can't. Once baptized, it is always there.

That being said... I forget who, but there was someone who historically wanted to do the same, so he "baptized" himself in a pool of bull's blood. Theologically wouldn't matter, but it certainly was a statement.

But again, as a Catholic, if you don't believe, why does it matter? The idea of baptism should be meanlingless to you anyway.

  • If you are not concerned with theism in general, I don't see how you might have any pressing need to be excommunicated. However, if you are that concerned, you can send a letter to the bishop of your diocese and explain you denial of catholic doctrine and theistic belief, and you may have a chance at official excommunication. Of course, you could go the Galileo route, and just make some profound new scientific discovery that conflicts with church doctrine, but that doesn't seem to carry the weight that it once did. Above all, congratulations on your reliance upon reason and logic in major life decisions, from one atheist to another.

  • Boy! The Catholics really got their hooks in you.......

You don't believe in any of it you say, yet you are afraid of them and want to unbaptize yourself

  • Never though if that--- now I want to know.

If I can un-baptize myself that would be awesome.

  • You cannot, What has been done in your past is what makes you who you are in the present.

  • You wouldn't need to if you didn't believe derp.
