Can two people use a parachute?
I had a dream last night where me and my mate jumped out of a plane and my parachute didn't open. I was next to me mate when this happened and I grabbed onto his ankles while he used his parachute to land us to safety after which I was riding a bike no hands using the said parachute like nothing ever happened.
So im just curious here, is it possible for that to happen and both people survive?

No, this is not possible! You'll only see this in the movies or The Simpsons.
I've jumped many times and experience says you can't do it.
Flaws in your theory:
- your mate wouldn't be able to hold onto you when your parachute opened - he would likely get ripped right off you
- weight might become a factor as parachutes are only rate for so much load
- how would you land without something bad happening to one or both of you?
- would your mate be able to hold onto you for a solid 4 - 7 minutes while you glided back to earth after the chute opene? That's a long time to hold on to you.
Sorry! Nice James Bond dream though.
Yes ! This has worked in real life where one person saved the life of another person by bringing both people SAFELY back to Earth using just the one parachute !
the geforce created when the parachute opened would just rip you off him. Your only chance would be to hug him with your arms and legs (and vice versa), and even then you would need to be fit enough to hold on for 10 minutes hanging upside down.
He asked for two parachutes because there was no way he could hold all the money. The second one was for the money.
Unless done professionally with the right kit, that is just in an emergency with a safety chute, you won't half meet mother earth at an uncomfortable rate of knots.

I personally would not like to make a habit of it but I suppose in an emergency it would work
I don't know about that but people can do tandem jumps with an instructor.
