Just write something about it that you don't measure with numbers or units. Example: What color is it? Shape? Rough? Smooth?
Knowing what qualitative means, should give you a clue. Qualitative data in data that has no numerical values. For example, when you do flame tests of elements you see a bright yellow flame for sodium, a red flame for lithium, and a purple flame for potassium. The colors mention in the previous sentence is qualitative data.
The only problem with your question is that you are asking for "a qualitative data", where the article a indicates a singular and the term data is plural. The word 'a' is unnecessary.
bad idea.... Qualitative data is never exact. But it simply means to describe it. Such as: tasteless? explosive reaction? or red? It is highly preferable to utilize quantitative data since they can be expressed as EXACT units. Ex: Color---Nanometers How acidic---- Ph level etc....
