Sinead O'Connor?

Is it pronounced "shi-nade" or is it "si-nade". I don't think it's the 'sh' sound.

Update:

  • It is shi-nade. In Gaelic as well as in Welsh, 'si' is pronounced 'shi', as in the name Sian (pronounced 'Shaan') or 'siop' - Welsh for 'shop' and pronounced the same.

  • it is pronounce Shi-nade! She is a very talented irish singer who has one of the most beautiful faces and voices I ever heard.

  • Sinéad O'Connor

  • I'm sure it is with a 'sh'.

That's how everyone I have seen pronounces it.

  • It is with the "SH"
