do memtest86 repairs RAM?
i bought 256 MB of SDRam of kingston.. in pair they are same... i used both for 2 years then one day i got blue screen and halted..
i removed one piece and try.. one piece was defaulted.. another was good.. then after i have tried many times to run the default ram... it works but pc was restarted at any time.. then i try memtest86 and i check both ram by installing one by one.. one had no errors.. and another got about 28860 errors.. memtest halted at 72% then i restarted ..and remove floppy.. and run windows xp on defaulted ram.. it works and not restarting at all..
so is it mean my ram is repaired ??

Memtest86 is a RAM TESTER. It does not repair bad blocks of ram.
But, removing and reseating the ram may have solved the issue. The only way to know for sure is to keep using it and hope for the best.
