Computer Processor Upgrade Help?

Hi everyone.

I currently have a ThinkCentre M55-8811 desktop (specs here:http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/...

I want to upgrade to a quad-core processor, and am planning on going with the INTEL CORE 2 QUAD Q6600, 2.4GHz

I don't have any experience working with CPUs before; I have done things like installing memory, video cards, hard drives/disk drives, etc. I would just like to make sure before I order this CPU that should work. They both have the same socket type (LGA775) - but is there anything else I need to check? Also, I assume it will just be a drop-in replacement; is that right? Anything I'm missing here? Thank you all!!

    Thats about it, as long as they are the same socket, and the mobo supports both. Sometimes older revisions of motherboards do not support newer ( at the time) cpus.
