How do I remove my Yahoo 360 page from Yahoo Canada?

I'm an American, but for some reason my Yahoo 360 page seems to be stuck at Yahoo Canada, instead of regular Yahoo.

How can I remove my Yahoo 360 page from Yahoo Canada and move it to the regular Yahoo?

Update:

The rest of my account is connected to the regular Yahoo.com. I've got a lot connected to it, including my Flickr and del.icio.us accounts, so cancelling and getting a new login name is not an option. I don't really use Yahoo 360 all that much, but it really bugs me that it's all screwed up like this.

  • UPDATE: You don't have to cancel this account to create a new one. Many people have multiple Yahoo accounts and 360 spaces. Create a new Yahoo ID through the U.S. Yahoo site, activate the 360 for it. Send the web address of that 360 to everyone that you care to know about it. Link up with them.

The Flickr photostream doesn't work with most 360 pages anyway. The 360 profile links across Yahoo services mostly don't work either.

OR you can just wait to see if the transition to a new social networking system in the 2nd half of 2008 will help this issue.

If it's only temporarily stuck, like it seems to waver between the two countries, then clearing your browser's cache & cookies, restarting the browser and/or the computer, probably will help.

If it's all the time and for example, your 360 starts with http://ca.360.yahoo.com.../ then your Yahoo account was created through the Canadian version of Yahoo and not the U.S. version. There isn't a transfer tool for 360 spaces.

You can try the following, but likely you will have to start over with a new Yahoo account (and thus a new 360 space) by creating one through the U.S. site:

    - Click on your "My Account" link (by your "Sign Out" link at the top) of the window. It could also be called "Members Center".

    - After signing in, click the "Edit" link on the Membership Information line (toward the right).

    - Scroll down to "General Preferences," then click on the preferred content link to choose Yahoo! U.S.

    - Adjust your time zone and then click the "Finished" button at the bottom.

If that doesn't help, set up a completely new account by going to any Yahoo sign-in page and clicking "Sign Up" on the lower right side (http://mail.yahoo.com/ , is preferred). Make sure it is the U.S. site - the Yahoo icon will have no country designation and the page language will be English. Then, type 360.yahoo.com in your web browser's address field (or just type 360 in a Yahoo! toolbar). Start creating your 360 space from there. Click the BIG YELLOW "Get Started" BUTTON on the far right section of that page. When you're done with that process, click the "Yahoo! 360 Home" link in the upper right corner of that or the http://360.yahoo.com/ page to enter the space if you are still logged in under this new ID.
