Cd Writer just opens, senses & closes but not reading and writing.
my cd writer is samsung cd-r/rw sw-248f
your CD writer must be having some problem its lens would be having some problem
I have 2 DVD writers on different computers and both of them also write to CDs. I guess that I would verify from where ever you buy the thing from that it does write both. I would be very suprised if it did not write both DVD and CD.
now at this time u must remove the CD Drive and give this at service center of samsung because there is a IC problem in ur CD drive .
Check if your data cable is connected, if so get the latest firmware. Should fix the problem.
Uninstall the software and reinstall it again
its lense problem
