How do actors fake sex scenes?
Just wondering after having watched so many mainstream films. How do actors fake sex scenes? I mean, in Cloud Atlas, Doona and Jim are totally naked ( literally naked). How do they deal with that mentally AND physically? Even if they're not like 'really humping', seeing each other being naked must cause some kind of reactions if you know what I mean. Generally how do actors film love scenes? I've been very curious.
Update:Can any tell me if the love scenes in Cloud Atlas are real or not?

Adhesive flesh-coloured pads that stick on over their bits. As for reactions, unless you're a porn star and it's your job to react I imagine it's not an issue when a dozen people are standing around pointing lights and cameras at you. Nervousness probably prevents any unwanted reactions.

Many actors are not worried about being seen naked and are comfortable with their bodies.
In most cases but not all he sex is faked but the nudity is not.
Sometimes male actors where socks around their 'thing'.. And even, there are some special pants they where when they are such a scenes. Because not all the actors are allowed from their wife.

Unless you are a true exhibitionist you are not going to get aroused being surrounded by cameras, lights, boom mics, a screaming director, etc
