car speaker removal?
hi i have a mercury mountaineer and i recently blew the rear subwoofer so i went to try to remove it, i opened up the external casing on side wall, then i unscrewed all screws around speaker but i cant take out my speaker i tryed prying it out but it wont budge theres no clips that i can see or anything holding it in place? what could the problem be? just pull harder? thanks
Update:if i do twist it left or right dosnt matter? i dont want to screw up any wiring.. thanks

Generally there is some sort of foam or rubber gasket sealing the sub to the box. When the sub is screwed in there for so long and with that much pressure it just makes that seal stick everything together. It's not very common to glue a sub to the box, so most likely you just have to pull harder and maybe even pry some more--they can be stuck in their very very well. Just make sure to be careful that you don't harm the box.
Did the subwoofer come with the car? Is it factory? Or is it an after market subwoofer? I need more info kidd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sounds like its a factory sub but i need to know for sure
if it is a round sub, take it by the metal outer part and try twisting it, it could have a brace behind it.
