You get the "six pricks" first...if you haven't had those yet then don't worry about them, they don't hurt what so ever, they are only to check whether you are allergic to anything which is inside the needle.
And the BCG, does hurt. But the pain is worth it.

By the way, I thought they weren't doing them anymore, as tuberculosis isn't very common anymore...
Everybody has a different pain tolerance. Comparitively the BCG tends to hurt a bit more than other immunizations. It's not bad though and is a quick shot. Take Tylenol AND Motrin about 30minutes before your going to get the shot and that should reduce some of the pain. Also see if the one giving the shot would be willing to give you a firm slap at the injection site just before the shot... that tends to decrease pain. When you slap the area before a shot, mediators of inflammation are recruited to the area decreasing the pain.
Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) is a vaccine. I've had it done. I only had one shot and I swear I barely felt it at all. And it's good for like, 15 years
