New Graphics Card Problem?
Hey there.
I recently installed a Nvidia 9500GT graphics card on my computer. But when i installed the latest drivers I get quite noticeable screen tearing and when i open up world of warcraft the screen flashes black like every 6 seconds. Please Help.
I have the latest drivers but still have the same problem.

If you downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia web site, that's your problem. Those are generic drivers that should work with most video cards based on nvidia chipsets. The problem is, the video card manufacturers are free to customize video cards based on the nvidia chipsets. So, not all nvidia chipset video cards will work well with the "latest" drivers from nvidia. In some cases, you will have better luck with older version drivers that have been customized for your specific video card. As a last resort, you might even have to find the CD that came with the video card. Those drivers will be ancient, but they will probably work OK.
Simply put, newer isn't always better. Try an older driver.
On a side note, sometimes it helps to update the chipset drivers for the mainboard before installing a new video card. If you haven't updated the chipset drivers for the mainboard recently (or ever), you might want to do that FIRST and then try reinstalling video card drivers.
I have the same graphics card! First, be sure that the new card is compatible with your system. Older systems with lower processing capabilities will not be able to handle the 9500 series. Also make sure you have uninstalled any older drivers from your previous graphics card, especially if it is another Nvidia. Also make sure that your computer has properly installed the new graphics card. With the new plug-and-play feature of most hardware, it isn't such a big deal anymore, but be sure that your system as properly identified the new graphics card. Finally, try uninstalling and reinstalling your drivers. As far as WoW goes, be sure your video settings are correct, though the 9500GT should have no performance problems with all settings maxed so long as your system can handle the processing requirements.
Uninstall the current drivers, and try a previous driver revision and see if the problem goes away. It might be a bug with that particular revision.
Of course there's always the possibility of there being a hardware issue with the card. If different driver versions don't help, then try disabling features and seeing if you can clear it up.
RAWR!
