Samsung 6 series 50/100Hz problem?

i have just bought a Samsung UE40C6000 which has 100Hz motion flow and i hav it connect via HDMI cable to my virgin media V+ box (which is HD). however when i turn the tv on in the top left conner it says '1920x1080i @50Hz';. i wanted to know how to change that 50Hz into 100Hz. i have the 'LED motion plus', 'edge enhancement' and 'motion plus' all turn on but the tv say it is still outputing 50Hz

please help

p.s. can i also change that 1080i it says in the conner to 1080p

thanks

  • All HD tvs display in their native resolution and hz rate all the time. The numbers you are seeing are showing the incoming signal. Your tv will take any incoming signal and upsacle it to 1080p, 100hz. You can't adjust it, the tv does it automatically for every signal.

  • Nothing in the manual about this? The resolution is 1080i because you are sending it a 1080i signal. Play a Blu Ray disc, & that signal will be 1080p if you've set things up properly. This is why these come with manuals. What is a "conner". Do you mean "corner"?
