Seventh grade math problem! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Okay so I'm in seventh grade and there are two questions I need for help with my math homework. I know I should be more responsible with my notes but I lost them and the Mrs.Ramsey only explained how to do this one time. Okay I know this is dumb but how do I find the mean and mode for 31,27,15,31,24,13,30,24,18,35,28 and 24. Remember median,median AND mode. I don't need help with the range cause that's the only one I still remeber how to do.
Thanks for any answers!(=

mean= you add up all the numbers,(300) than divide by how many numbers there are. (12) so in this case the answer would be 25.
mode= what number appears the most. (24)
median= put the numbers in order from least to greatest, than cross them off from least to greatest. so 15 is the lowest and 35 is the highest so than you cross those two off. and so on. whtever number you end up with is your answer.
hope that made sense and that i helped!
Mean=25.
Median=25.5
Mode=24
On mean, you add all the numbers together. Then you divide the sum by the amount of numbers you added. In this case, there are twelve. So you divide the sum of all the numbers by twelve.
To find the median, you write all the numbers in their order and find the one in the middle:
13,15,18,24,24,24,27,28,30,31,31,35
Since there are three 24's, it is twenty four. If they were not all 24, it would be whichever was 6th in the line (because there are twelve and twelve is even so there isn't a whole number in the middle). So like if there were five numbers, it would be the 3rd one right in the middle. The big idea with median is THE MIDDLE. Just remember that.
The mode of a set of data is the value in the set that occurs most often. So you order the numbers from leat to greatest:
13,15,18,24,24,24,27,28,30,31,31,35
In mode, we have to see which number is repeated the most times.
In this case, it's 24 because 24 if repeated three times.
Good luck!!!
Median - first, line the numbers up in order from least to greatest:
13, 15, 18, 24, 24, 24, 27, 28, 30, 31, 31, 35
Since there is an even number of terms in this set, add the two middle numbers and divide by 2 (27+24) / 2 = 25.5
Mode: which number appears the most in the set? In this case, it would be 24.
Average: Determine the sum of all the numbers, and then divide that sum by 12 (the number of terms in the set).
Mean = 31+27+15+31+24+13+30+24+18+35+28+ 24/12
= 25
Median = 13,15, 18, 24, 24, 24, 27, 28, 30, 31, 35
=24
Mode=13,15, 18, [24, 24, 24,] 27, 28, 30, 31, 35
= 24
Mean: I memorized it as mean (like she's mean because she pushed me) because it makes you work the most. You add up all the numbers and divide by the count of numbers
Median: I memorized median by the first letter. M for Middle. Line up the numbers from least to greatest and find whats in the middle.
Mode: I memorized by the first two letters M-O, like Most Often.
Find what numbers occur most often.
To find the median, you have to put all the numbers in order from smallest to largest then count how many there are & then half of that. If it's an even number then I believe you choose the 2 middle ones, but I'm not too sure about that.
To find the mode, it's just the number that shows up the most often.
so for this example it would be 24.
mode should be the number that occurs the most. It can be more than one number.
Mean is the same thing as the average. Add up all those numbers and divide that by the number of numbers you added. In this case you would divide by 12.
Hope it helps!
median= 25.5
mode=24
mean=25
