plz help-camera problem!?!?

i have a casio exilim and it has been a great camera so far.but it won't turn on!!i made sure i was putting the battery in right-i am-when i charge the battery the red light blinks.i don't know whats wrong with it?!?

    Rechargeable batteries have life spans, maybe you just need to get a new battery.

    They all have a set number of charges they will take, if you have had it for awhile it may just need replacing.
