why do girls prefer assholes?

Okay so the million pound/dollah question is this. Why do all women LOVE a ****!? Okay in not working by the assumption of all women but you get the jist. So im 18 right, get told im good looking by most people i know, im tall and muscley but since i hit puberty i decided dya know what **** everyone, i had loads of mates but i didn't give a **** what anyone thought of me.i moved from party to party, girl to girl getting off my face drunk and only looking for one thing and 9 times out of 10, i got it. Thing was i was fairly fat no real muscles, not particularly athletic i guess, and not attractive, although no guys usually messed with me coz i was a ****, i fought alot and rarely lost. Basically i had temper issues..... So my 18th swings round and every girl wants to be with me regardless of who's looking and i just moved from girl to girl.. Then i bump into a group outside, all crying over me and slagging me off....turns out they actually really liked me??? So i dismissed it being blind drunk and went to screw my ex...... Wake up horriffic hangover and realised ive basically lived causing nothing but destruction. I think **** it im gonna change. I stopped going out so much. I started treating people with more respect, domt get me wrong i still partied hardest i just went out to have fun not get with girls. I lost all my fat traded it for abs, started up mma and now in pretty muscley, traded in my mop top hair for short trim and clean shave. But now i find myself actually struggling, there's a girl i messed about for example who really liked me at the time and now i like her shes like, she doesn't wanna take the risk. On nights out clubbing girls arnt really drawn to me like they were. Basically it seems like everyone loved the jerk/****/shithead more????? Just wondering what you prefer? Girls opinions? Guys you prefer playing the playerrrrr or do you find the nice guy angle works more for you???
