Thumbnails Problem?

when i keep thumbnails in MY COMPUTER,only the icons are appearing and the name of the drive is not appearing!i keep thumbnails by going to view and then thumbnail option.what is the problem.please help somebody.for example the c drvie icon is appearing but name c drive is disappeared.
