Please tell!

  • yes it does, and no whining, it was your country's bright idea ...

  • Technically, if you are coming from the USA, no.

    But...

You DO need a passport to get back into the USA. This is US, law. So, without a passport, you would be stuck in Canada, and the border people here generally will want to see them, even though there is no actual legal requirement.

  • Yes, you need a valid Passport when you go to Canada, even you are migrating , visiting, for business or any other type, you need a passport.

  • American citizens must have a passport to enter Canada unless they are 15 or under...then they may use their birth certificate if traveling by land. If they are flying, they must have a passport. American legal residents may use their green card for either air or land travel.

  • You need passport when leaving your country.

  • Yes, unless:

    1) You are a Canadian citizen.

    2) You are a permanent resident of Canada.

    3) You are a citizen of the United States.

    4) You are a permanent resident of the United States with a Permanent Resident Card.

    5) You are a resident of Greenland entering from that country.

    6) You are a resident of St. Pierre & Miquelon and you are entering from that country.

  • Yes it does and, depending on your country of origin, it may also require a visa.
