  • if you open were the batteries go you will see a red button you need to push it and the red button on the wii box its on the front under the little flap near where u load the cd in. you need to have the batteries in and it wont work with the rechargable ones.

  • I got a Wii for Christmas too! (Last year)

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST WII REMOTE:

You set it up by taking the cover off of the place where you place the batteries in and there is a red button. On your Wii system there is this little flap that you could open. There is a red button there too. When you find both red buttons. (By the way, Make sure the Wii system is on) hold both of the red buttons down and the Wii remote the lights on the bottom (it's blue) should be stable. (Not flashing)

IF THIS IS YOUR SECOND/THIRD/FOURTH WII REMOTE:

You turn on the Wii System and then make sure your first Wii remote is already connected. Then on your first Wii remote, click on the button with a picture of a house. Then click.. Wii Remote Settings. After that, click Reconnect. Then you take BOTH of your Wii Remotes (the old [first] and the new [the one you just got] one) and click on the buttons 1 & 2 at the same time continuously on BOTH remotes.

    Yeah.. That's how I do it. :)

    Hope this helped

  • Open the wii remote and u should see a red button push the red button, then open the front of the wii where the sd card slot is, there is also a red button, they will both say sync on it, try to press the button at the same time, and the wii remote will blink a while to turn on. (make sure the wii is on, and the wii remote has batteries that work.)

Also the box where the wii remote came from will have directions. or the wii manual

  • WOW. I just had this problem. Press that red button on the back of the remote. To do that, take off the battery door. K. You should see that. There is also that same button the the wii console. Open that door. Press that button first, then press the one on the wii remote. It should have those blinking lights for a second, then it should be synced. If this doesn't help. Email me at [email protected]

  • Have you synced the remote yet?

Open the battery cover, and press the small red button. Go to the Wii Console, open the SD Card Compartment, and press the red button in there. The remote's LED lights should blink. When they're done blinking, the remote has been synced.

If it's synced, click the Home button, go to the Wii Remote Options at the bottom, and click "Sync Remote". Follow the on-screen instructions.

  • open up the front of the wii where the little door thing is and press the red button and then like the second after you do that open up the back of the wii remote where you would put the batteries in and press that red button. then it will work !

    : )

  • ok, so first u go to the wii and next to where u put the discs in, there should be a little slot next to it.

find the red button that says "sync"

then, you open the back of the wii remote u wanna sync, and you lok for the red button.

then you press both of them together at the same time for 10 seconds and wallah!

you've got yourself a new wii remote.

  • take off the back off the wii remote and open the little flap thingy on the wii. you will see a red button on each of them hold them down at the same time till the Wii remote flashes and turns on.

  • on your wii open the little tab in the front by the slot where you put the disc in and then on your wii remote open the back cover where you put the batteries in...press both of the little red buttons and it should program it as #2

  • open the front of the wii machine and there is a little button you have to press just after pressing the one on the wii remote...
