My friend did the exact same thing and for her it took about a month because they first had to bleach her black hair twice and then and the brunette color but that might of been just her hair salon
Black and reds are the hardest colors to remove so you would have to bleach it. When i had i had my hair bleached from black my salon left the bleach on until it was light enough then did a hot oil treatment to help the hair repair by itself then died it it took about 4 hours but It also depends on the length and thickness of you hair
