Does a Hummer H3 need a separate part for a u-haul trailer?

The hummer has a part at the bottom that seems that you can hook the trailer on but it's only on one side, so would it still work or would I need to buy a separate hitch?

Update:

It doesn't have a ball mount, just this little square hook off to the side on the back.

  • That's a tow hook for pulling it out of ditches.

Yes, you'll need to put a hitch on it. A good quality class III receiver hitch is your best option. Look at brands like Reese, Shelton and Hidden Hitch for model specific, bolt on units.

  • Have the ball mount?

When you go rent the trailer, the U-haul will tell you if the hitch can handle the size of trailer you wanted.

  • It will need a tow bar. It sounds like you don't have one. You could ask the U haul people.
