is it possible for someone with ocd to try to stop themselves from cleaning but be constantly thinking about just that? do you know anyone who has broken free? how is it done?
Yes. OCD is a real medical condition. There are different ways to address the compulsion. Most valid, and sucessfull treatments involve a combination of both therapy, and medication. There are many studies that show that this combination therapy works. The best thing to do is contact your primary care physician, and get a referral to a specialist in the area of OCD. It can be treated.
like if you have to pick up tiny pieces of paper on the floor
just dont! go somewhere else and it will stop bothering u.
but it depends how severe you have it-i have mild and when i have to do something i just walk away-it feels kind of bad like it tortures you not to do it but you only feel that way for a little bit.
