how do you separate fused metal?
my friend has a bike frame where the seat post fused to the seat tube we have tried evrything (pipe wrench, wd-40,and others) but heating it up were 16 and mom wont allow it unless it is a last resort any ideas will be greatlly apprectated
Update:i used a pipewrench with a really long handle and another 2 foot pipe at the end it just deformed the seat tube

I'd you heat, get a propane torch heat up inside the seat post, don't get it so hot it harms paint job, but get it really hot burning torch inside of tube, when its really hot drowned it with cold water cool it really fast, the different metals should expand and contract at different rates, hopefully breaking the bond.
if there is no paint to worry about then you want to heat from the outside of tube
Try taking a rubber mallet and pipe wrench. Use wrench to apply some pressure like your trying to spin it, and at the same time tap on it with the mallet.
