Do you think RHH is trashy?
My girlfriend and I were going out the other night, and she wouldn't let me play my "Me Against the world" album, she said it was "too trashy", and "promotes bad messages". I guess she does have a point, but I still love it.
Update:She listens to pop/techno/rock, and yes, some songs do promote bad messages. I wouldn't say she's trashy though.

I think it depends on how desensitized to things you are. If you grew up a more "wholesome" lifestyle any sort of cussing or talk about violence or sex will be viewed as trashy. But when you've seen 2 Girls 1 Cup, nothing anyone can say, no matter how vulgar, will be trashy.
I was watching Andy Samberg's new song J-zz in my Pants on YouTube and personally found it pretty funny and fairly imaginative. Then I read the first comment and it said something like "Why do people think trash like this is funny?" I don't know. It's all perspective, I guess.
It does promote a bad message, but some elements of the genre she likes will also certainly promote a bad message aswel.
Rock can often promote drugs, suicide, homocide and worshiping satan
And whatever other genre she is into will have negative aspects
Which are just as bad, if not worst than some of the negatives Rap music promotes, so we shouldn't be treated as if were the only ones who aren't perfect.
It's funny that she said that about "Me Against The World", because this was 2Pac's least negative album. If she were to actually listen to the album there's a song dedicated to his mom and a song that he gives props to the rap game. Maybe she had a general assumption about 2Pac based on his negative image. Remember...

And no, RHH isn't trashy.

Rap is the best genre. If she doesn't like it, she can go back to listening to her new wave techno crap.
