There is something wrong with a party that is motivated by hate in order to elect someone. The main problem is that they are so consumed by their prejudices controlling them that they don't even realize Rove has been manipulating them since the 70s.
No, I don't think it is a sickness, I think it stems from a mental deficiency caused by a lack of vegetables when they repuglicans were younger. There is not much we can do as liberals but try to educate them to go eat a carrot and not stick it in their ear. However it is real easy just to tell them to stick it in their ear and Ah Ha is a good example.

Education has had it's funding cut significantly every single year Bush has been in office, and over the 12 years that Reagan and Elder Bush, it had also been cut dramatically. Under both Clinton and Carter, education funding went up every year. As of next year, all federal funding for education is gone (except for a tiny amount to pay for some of the testing materials).
Bad laws? These people don't even care about laws! Geneva Convention...ignored. FISA law...ignored. The Constitution...ignored. Civil liberties...ignored. meanwhile they pass laws like The Patriot Act, through which they have not caught one terrorist, but have held hundreds of American citizens without charges, without arraignment, without legal counsel.
Bad government? Losing $9Billion in cash? Attacking sovereign nations without provocation? Lying to the American public, and when they are caught in the lies, they continue saying them and the conservatives still believe them (is it possible to be more ignorant and stupid than this...to continue believing a lie when it has already been proven to be an intentional lie?). Lying to the American public for the purpose of MASS MURDER? Giving no bid contracts to corporations that they receive money from? There is no end to the corruption in this administration! Think of any action that could be considered corrupt...and with a little bit of research, you will see that these people have done it. Taking bribes, giving bribes, offering gay hookers a place in the White House Press Corps, offering government jobs to people in exchange for gay sex (a republican governor was just convicted of this), etc.
Abortion? Conservatives have been trying to get rid of sex education and replace with abstinence only programs (over 60% of high school grads that went through abstinence only programs believe that a woman can only get pregnant by swallowing a man's sperm, people that have gone through these programs have a higher rate of unintended pregnancies and STD's than those that have had no sex ed at all, and a much higher rate than those with proper sex ed), cut health care, and so forth, with the net effect of more than twice as many abortions have happened annually since Bush came into office than when Clinton was in office.
***This is important*** The Republican party has controlled all three branches of government for almost 6 years. Between the republican votes and the pro-life democrats, a constitutional ammendment banning abortion could have been made at any time. It would hardly even need a vote. Even without the pro-life democrat votes, the Republican Party could pass laws banning it without letting the Democrats vote at all! If the Republican Party was actually against abortion, they would have made it illegal already, right? The only action that they have taken is banning a certain type of abortion that is only used for situations where the mother could be in danger with an exception for situations where the mother could be in danger...in other words...the ban does nothing at all!
Democrats don't like abortion per-se...we just believe that they should be legal, safe, and rare, and that people should be able to get gynecological visits and birth control regardless of income. We believe in proper education to help reduce the number of abortions.
Republicans are bigoted, ignorant, murderous, tyrranical, and truly traitorous (many Republican leaders and pundits have stated that they don't like democracy...they want a dictatorship! Unitary Executive mean anything to you? Probably not, since republicans revel in ignorance. It means that the "president" should be able to do whatever he wants with no oversight, no consequences, and no laws applying to them. You hear the pundits talking about how important having a Unitary Executive is...well that is what it means).
If they were doing everything right and legally, why do they keep passing and trying to pass laws making it so that they can't be tried for breaking the law? Contractors in Iraq were given amnesty in advance for any crime they commit while in Iraq. The International Court treaty that allows world leaders to be tried for war crimes was un-signed by Bush, saying that they could not try him for war crimes. There is a law before congress now that absolves the president from any crime he commits, making it so that anything the president says is law. This is Fascism.
These people are criminals...they are stealing from you, killing your children, destroying the environment, causing the rest of the world to hate us (which doesn't make us safer...duh!), and trying really, really hard to abolish democracy wherever it can be found...particularly in the United States.

Yeah, it is very contagious. I have had the disease for quite awhile. Some of the side effects are
1) Your intelligence increases to dangerous levels
2) For us males, you grow hair on your butt.
